JULY

MOLLY TURNED 6 MONTHS

We can't believe that she is half a year old. Time really does fly. These past 6 months have been a blast...it's crazy to think 6 more and she'll be one!

SHED BUILDING

Jake was able to spend some time working with my Dad on his shed over his birthday weekend. It is going to be pretty sweet when it is done.  They had a good time working together. 
I sure love these two! Best guys around...

HAPPY FOURTH

We had a fun, laid back weekend. Molly got in the hot tub for her first time. She thought it was pretty cool. My mom and sisters took this cute picture of her with the flag :)

FUN WITH THE EXTENDED FAMILIES

One of the many good parts of summer...hangin' out with family. My Dad's siblings live all over the place and it is pretty rare that they are all together. We had a fun day hiking, eating, and playing games with the firth clan.
Jake's Dad's side of the family has had about one get together a month. We've been able to make it to most.  This month we went to a water park. It was our first time to a waterpark since we've been married (I'm pretty sure). The slides were fun and Molly got to enjoy the lazy river. It is always so much fun to visit with family...and we are trying to soak it up as much as we can since most likely we will be moving away in a year.

FIRTH FAMILY VACACTION

We were able to go to the Rocky Mountain National Forest with the whole fam. It was a blast.  My parents' very generous friends let us use their home/cabin for the week. We had a lot of fun canoeing, hiking, biking, playing games, eating great food, laughing, visiting, relaxing, watching wildlife, browsing through the little shops downtown, driving and biking (Dad, Jake, and Brady--crazy) over the continental divide.  The 8? 10? hour car ride was even fun. We were sad when it had to end.

 It was quite an adventure trying to get a picture of the three of them.

Brady and Grandpa's canoe tipped over and they got to go for a little swim.
We didn't get any pictures but were were also able to watch two big moose for a while one night...along with a lot of birds. Speaking of wildlife...The 3 bikers got to see a bunch of elk up close and personal (just a few feet away). Pretty cool.

JAKES BIRTHDAY

She wasn't sure what she thought about the boat and the life jacket at first...she had been sick the few days prior. But by the end, she decided it was pretty fun.

MOVING

We recently moved closer to downtown. It is SO nice to be closer to Jake's work. We love that he gets to sleep in longer and get home sooner...and ride his bike to work (only 2.5 miles now rather than 17).  It has a nice yard to hang out in...which Molly especially loves. And the owners of the house actually live upstairs. They are the cutest family and SO nice. Its cool that we are able to think of them as friends rather than landlords.
We really love renting from someone that we can swap cinnamon rolls and treats with or share dinners when we're not feeling well....not to mention just joining in on their tea parties :) (Their two little kids are adorable) They are actually in our ward too. We really feel lucky that we found this place/them.
We feel very at home here.
