It's not very often that Jake decides chocolate ice cream sounds good...so when he made a detour to cold stone on the way home from the library last night I was happily surprised. Boy was it good!
Life is short.
Eat dessert first.
Chocolate icecream before the basics? Why not.
(We haven't done any rice cereal or baby food yet--just give her little tastes of this and that every now and again. A few favorites: strawberries, bananas, celery (weird), ham, and now icecream)
How could we resist sharing?
She LOVED it! She must take after her mom :)
After we decided she had had enough and wouldn't give her anymore with the spoon, she happily grabbed her (and our) sticky, chocolately fingers and licked them clean.
...who needs a spoon anyway?
and yes, the white shirt wasn't so white by the end :)
We're so grateful we've had such great weather so we can enjoy being outside.
I guess being cooped up inside this winter has made us more excited for spring and summer than ever before :)
A few weeks ago we sat her in the grass (without a blanket) for the first time...she was intrigued by each little blade.
...she isn't quite sitting up on her own yet...this picture is a bit decieving. I guess my hand is hidden in the grass but I am helping her just a tich by pulling on her sweatshirt.
I've got such a cute man :)
We went to go visit grandma and grandpa Flinders last week. It is always so much fun to visit with them. Mom brought some yummy cupcakes to try. They were so fun! Chocolate peanut butter, raspberry lemonade, vanilla, and carrot cake. We each got a taste of each.
Molly had fun playing with her great grandpa and grandma.
We get to celebrate their 50th anniversary this weekend!
Pretty sweet.
She has been a bit anti-naps lately. But when she does sleep...she sure is cute!
She really has been extremely happy this week. It is so fun to play with her and get her giggling. She cracks me up when she squeals. I love her!
Must be having sweet dreams...
Loves chewin' those fingers.
Gotta love those baby blues.
She also loves sucking on her toes.
...and, of course, being naked.
I know I'm her mom, but dang! she is so stinkin' adorable!

And here are a few random clips...
The first one is so funny to me..we were playing and she was laughing and smiling like crazy. by the time I grabbed the camera and turned it on she went from laughing to sleeping in seconds. I kept thinking--she can't really be asleep asleep...she'll wake up any second now...
but she didn't.
The video doesn't really capture it...but she LOVES playing peek a boo with the blanket with her daddy.
