I am the luckiest lady I know. I can't believe these two are mine.
I am so blessed.
I am so blessed.
I love them so much!
Just a few of my Favorite Things about being a Mom...
*Seeing Jake be a Daddy
*Watching her eyes light up when she sees someone she loves or learns something new
*Late night cuddling in the rocking chair
*Giggling together
*Watching her stomp her foot and stick out her bottom lip when she's upset
*The way she smiles with her whole body
*Hearing, "ohh...she looks so much like her daddy"
*Sharing her with her Grandmas and Grandpas and Aunts and Uncles
*Looking forward to the good times ahead
*Knowing I get to be with these two forever
We have so many sweet memories already,
and are enjoying each and every second of having this sweet baby girl in our family.
We can only imagine all the brightness and happiness she will continue to bring us.
I love my Molly!
...and my Jake.

Molly and I started the weekend out by going to the quilt show at the expo center with Nana. Her quilt group was asked to do a trunk show there. They did a fun little presentation that highlighted the seven ladies in the group (The Purple Cats) and a few of the projects they have completed. Such talented ladies!
There were a TON of machine quilted quilts there on display. It was fun to see them. We couldn't believe some of the detail...and the many hours that must have been spent on each one. (Any guesses on how much it cost for one of those babies to be quilted?....$13,000! yep! More than our car. Kinda crazy!)
Then we dropped Nana off at the airport to go see this cute family.
Elsie Maren was born May 4th. She is teeny tiny and so cute! We are SO happy to have a new baby neice and cousin! And can NOT wait to meet her! Her big brother, Liam, had his 3rd birthday on the 8th. Nana and Papa both got to be there to celebrate.
After the airport, we got to spend some time walking around temple square while we waited for Daddy to get off work. So beautiful!
Friday evening we headed to Logan to spend the evening with our good friends, Andrew, Sarah, and Ella. We had fun visiting and eating pizza and watching the two little ones interact. Then around midnight Jake figured we better head over to Tremonton (crazy, I know).
We had a delicious breakfast of eableskivers-YUM!
Then the boys headed out to work on finishing the chicken coop. It looks really good, and is just about ready for the chickens to arrive. (They come June 1st). They used some wood from an old fence. It looks really rustic and neat. Me, Molly, and Grandma C got to hang out while they worked outside.
Sunday was great too. The boys slaved in the kitchen and we enjoyed a delicious meal of clam chowder and garlic bread. And for dessert? A strawberry shortcake. One of my all time favs!
The Mom's got to relax and play with Molly :)
Then it was off to Gpa Elmo and Gma Kathleen's. We got to hear about their trip to the Goblin Valley area--and even got a piece of petrified wood from Grandpa! Seeing those two always makes our day! You can't not smile when you're with them. They are the best.
