4 month check-up

Monday afternoon, on the way to the doctor's...all smiles.

15 pounds...on the dot  -85th percentile
24 inches long  -60th percentile
16.8 inch head circumference  -90th percentile

The doctor told us that there is a correlation between head size and final height and that she may grow up to be pretty tall. I just laughed...By the looks of her mom and dad,I don't think her chances of being tall are all that good.

We are so glad she is still chubby and happy.

On Sunday we discovered her first ear infection :(  She's had a rough couple of days but is doing her best to be happy. We've enjoyed the extra snuggling and rocking.

She discovered her toes for the first time April 13th.  I don't know why...but this has always been one of my favorite things...watching babies find and play with their toes.
She officially rolled over from her back to her tummy on April 22nd. (just over a week before her four month mark)...and has been LOVING her tummy ever since. If you lay her down on her back she definitely doesn't stay there long. It won't be long until she's rolling across the room.
She has also decided laying around is boring.  She loves to be upright. When on her tummy, she kicks and kicks trying to move herself forward (doesn't quite have the coordination yet). We have to be careful because she gets so determined--if we let her she'll lay there long enough she gives herself rug burn on her chin from pushing herself forward with her legs. If she keeps working at it like she has been-she'll be crawling before we know it.
This past month she also started to love to grab on to our hands when she's laying on her back and pull herself to a sitting or standing position.
She likes to play with her soft rattle and her mobiles. And is starting to laugh more and more when we tickle her. Her collar bone and upper thighs are the most ticklish so far :) And Papa can get her gigglin on demand--without fail. She also loves her blankies. She is always hugging on them and sucking on them. She'd prefer to suck on cloth rather than a binkie any day.

She is also loving her baths. (Especially these last few days with her ear infection and stinky immunization shots.) I just couldn't stand how cute these wrinkley, pruney, little toes were.
I could just gobble her up :)

She's so cute! I was really disappointed that my flight changed so I couldn't meet her in person, but your blog helps me feel better.

Your are going to be the best parents.

I love keeping track of you by reading your blog. The baby is a doll, and I just want to grab her and give her a hug!
Please remember that you have a GREAT Aunt who loves you very much, and is hoping that one day soon I'll open my front door and find you there! ! !
I'm trying my hand at blogging too. I'm linked to Deerhollow as Precious Moments.
